Good TV series?

What are some of your favourite tv series?

I'm looking to buy heaps of shows so I can actually watch something good whilst going to sleep/bored.
I know the obvious series that are on tv weekly just wanting some other good shows that some of you may know of?

Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead & Resurrection aren't bad. Resurrection doesn't actually have many episodes yet.
Also The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad & Spongebob ^^ are good if you're into cartoons.

Takeshi's Castle is what that series was before MXC made it even more silly. Ninja Warrior/Sasuke is another example, however Ninja Warrior did a proper subtitled translation instead of a dub.
