Kit items and Trading

Hello,
I'm new to the Aus Craft server and I read the starter book, what peeked my interest is that we're not allowed to sell kit items so I was wondering if we're allowed to trade, as in I don't need/want one of my kit pickaxes and I want/need some clay or something so I ask my friend or random person if they would part-take in a trade, I give them the pickaxe and I get the clay.
Is this also not allow or is it of sorts a grey area.

It is fine for you to trade kit items at the time being. We'll be revisiting that rule to adjust it as it stems from an older issue.
