Many of you have been asking about the circumstances surrounding the last few days, and what has caused such a massive split in the ranks on Auscraft. While we are still feeling the aftershock of sinnys removal as staff, we thought it would be best if we took some time to explain to you guys exactly what happened.
The launch of a new map is always a stressful time for staff, musketeers especially. Endless hours of background work on top of the creation of spawns, transfers, updates and keeping everyone up to date.
Without going into too much detail, there were complaints of staff abuse occurring on the night 1.8 was launched. Those involved had many different points of view on the incident, and many were named as guilty.
After taking quite a while to go through logs and see what had actually happened, those members were then confronted by Stabby. While most were remorseful for their actions, or weren't actually involved, a conflict erupted.
Due to the amount of abuse that took place, what seemed to be fair punishments were discussed, and after much deliberation sinny was removed as a Musketeer and placed as a Trusted player. Some of you see this as unfair, but based on past history it was agreed by the Musketeers and supported by some staff that this was the only option left.
While most of you are not aware of the facts, we will be happy to answer any questions that are not too detailed or unfair in regards to this. As remaining Musketeers we care about our staff and players, and wish to be as open with you as possible.
Staff have done an incredible job with the launch of 1.8, and while we regret this has somewhat marred our best map reset ever, we hope to recover and grow as a community that you have all come to love.
