Best way to get obsidian for nether portal

Im on this game and come across /warp mine, which has a bunch of obsidian at the spawn which is useful if going to nether but if you don't want to use this method of getting to the nether you can do /warp nether or /warp nethersettlement.

Best way to get it would be a water bucket, a diamond pick, and find a lava flow or pool. pour the water above/next to the lava, wait 5 seconds, slice and serve with a side-dish of flint 'n' steel :-D

yea thats another way but if your low on iron to make a bucket well this is the thing
